i just recently got an email saying that i tried t sell my account and that i would be under investigation...is this for real? i was pretty uncomfortable responding with my account name and password so i sent an e-mail asking for confirmation that it was a real blizzard administrator? has anybody ever had a similar experience?
Blizzard will never (I repeat, NEVER) ask for your username and/or password. This was a scam attempt. If they asked for your password, it obviously wasn't from Blizzard.
Read the terms o' use next time bud.
Every other loading screen's tip at the bottom says "A Blizzard Employee will NEVER ask you for your password." I have many alts and switch characters several times within my first 30 minutes of play time (mail, auctions, etc) and I see that tip several times in that time period.
Anyway, good on you mate for not falling for it!
